Khagaria: A three-day badminton championship featuring veteran players from across the state will begin in Khagaria on Saturday. The Bihar State Masters Veteran Badminton Championship, scheduled from March 7 to 9, is expected to attract experienced athletes and sports enthusiasts, promising competitive matches and high-level gameplay. The tournament is being organised under the joint aegis of the Bihar Badminton Association and the Khagaria Badminton Association. All matches will be held at the Indoor Stadium in Khagaria, where players from several districts of Bihar will compete to showcase their experience and skills on the court. The championship will be formally inaugurated at 11am on Saturday. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar will attend the opening ceremony as the chief guest, while senior deputy collector and district sports officer Praveen Kumar will be present as a special guest. Officials of the Khagaria District Badminton Association and local sports lovers are also expected to attend the event.
